Design principle
In the 17AM design, the steel housing supports and protects the internal components from paint leakage and mechanical forces. The core technology of the device is a calibrated bimetal disc, which is highly sensitive to current and temperature. A fixed cutting and contact welded to a sheet of metal provides support. The fixed silver contact is placed on the corresponding steel shell and separated by a adhesive coated gasket paper to achieve insulation and sealing. 17AM Motor thermal protectors may be equipped with conductors and other modular rapid joint or automatic connection systems. Customized wiring is available on demand. As the thermal protector is a metal product, insulation from other conductive parts is recommended. In addition, we can also provide insulation sheath of various materials and colors upon customer's request.
17AM thermal protectors use the same quick-acting principle as other protectors. The bimetal plate can sense the heat and current on the 17AM device. When the temperature of the sheet metal reaches the predetermined calibration point, the sheet metal quickly disconnects the contact and disconnects the current path. When the device returns to the normal working range after cooling, 17AM automatically reset to restore the power supply of the circuit.

17AM Thermal protector prevents motor overheat and overflow. It is a kind of miniature, jump type thermal sensitive device with reliable protection technology. It can protect the following devices from overheating:
